   Storysmith  |   Performing Group

A magical weaving of Story and Music, via a collaboration between storyteller Susan Marie Frontczak and pianist Jacqueline Schwab. Pianist Jacqueline Schwab entwines threads of improvised folk, classical, and dance tunes into her musical storytelling. She has performed on over a dozen of Ken Burns’ PBS documentary sound tracks (Grammy-winning Civil War, Baseball, Mark Twain, Lewis and Clark, The National Parks), at President Clinton’s White House, and as accompanist to Scottish singer Jean Redpath on A Prairie Home Companion and the David Letterman show. Susan Marie Frontczak’s storytelling career has grown out of her love of literature and history. Her stories have taken her to thirty-nine of the United States and abroad. “We were spellbound by the virtuosity of her voice and gesture, intellectual challenge and emotional involvement.” –Dr. Bowles, Theater Chair, CU Denver. Her Storysmith® motto: “Give me a place to stand, and I will take you somewhere else.”
