Description

Friends of Traditional Dance presents the Wild Goose Masquerade Ball! This is our 70th “Wild” ball—a long standing and wonderful tradition. The Mostly Strauss Orchestra (Denver Pops) will play waltzes and polkas by composers Strauss, Khachaturian, Errol Garner, Mancini, Leroy Anderson, Franz Lehar and many more. Doors will open at 7:30pm, the Grand March is at 8 pm. Attire is formal, semi-formal or ethnic, costume or masquerade attire encouraged. Refreshments will be provided!

SPECIAL THEME. We are celebrating our fourth theme this year: Myths, Legends and Tales. We are encouraging dancers to dress as their favorite characters from myths, legends and tales found around the world! Be creative —Costume Awards will be given!!

PRE-BALL LESSONS: The Wild Balls Vision Council will be hosting a special waltz lesson from 4-5 pm on October 27th in the Main Ballroom at the Avalon. The wonderful Shelley Kerr will be teaching the pre-ball lessons again this year and will be giving instruction on basic to intermediate waltz patterns. The lessons are a great tool to learn the basics of waltz for the beginner dancers or a chance to brush up on some of the routines for more experienced dancers before the Wild Goose Ball! Tickets for the pre-ball lessons are available on our website, www.wildballs.dance, or at the front door for $5/person on October 27th.

Please visit our website, www.wildballs.dance, for tickets and more information about the upcoming ball!  Adult and student tickets are also available at the front door and we will be accepting cash, check or credit card. We hope to see you soon!
